Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Over time, many patients have come to expect that going to the dentist means you’ll be treated like just another set of teeth. Dr. Hamza was inspired to become a dentist to change that. For him, building genuine relationships with those in his treatment chair is one of his favorite aspects of his job! Hearing their stories on their journeys to healthier, happier smiles brightens up his day.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
An Ohio native, Dr. Hamza naturally chose to pursue his studies at The Ohio State University. After earning his undergraduate degree in Chemistry, he earned his dental doctorate from the same establishment. Shortly after, he underwent a General Practice Residency at St. Elizabeth's Dental Clinic in Youngstown, Ohio. Working in a hospital setting with emergency dental conditions and an on-call rotation was truly humbling and a period of immense growth. Now, he has the solid foundation needed to treat patients with the highest level of care whether they are coming in for a routine checkup or treatment for a sudden dental injury.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
When Dr. Hamza isn’t helping patients, he enjoys staying active. Although he played soccer growing up, basketball is now his sport of choice.
